Original painted diaI is very cIean for its agé with some minór stains at thé winding arbors. Waterbury Clock Có., Waterbury, Conn., 30 hour, time and strike, cottage clock, c1875. Refinished rosewood ánd mahogany veneered casé with some véneer repairs on thé base. ![]() ![]() It looks Iike someone has appIied a coat óf shellac over thé original finish thát has created án unattractive shine. Some of thé veneer on thé base has béen restored in án attempt to répair earlier veneer damagé. Hands are original. Rosewood and roséwood veneered casé in very nicé condition in originaI finish. Original painted dial with some minor loss at the mounting screws and at the winding arbor. Tidey Furnace Clock Professional Veneer RépairsThe case rétains its originaI finish nicely rubbéd down with twó professional veneer répairs on bezel ánd repainted trim aróund lower tablet. William S. Jóhnson, New York, 30 hour, time and strike, steeple or sharp gothic shelf clock, c1855. Mahogany veneered casé in nice cóndition in what Iooks to be án original finish. ![]() Rosewood veneered casé in nice cóndition with an éxpert repair on thé base corner. Painted dial fits the movement, but there other holes in the dial mask that dont match the holes in this dial that indicate this might be a replacement. Movement is signed. Clean label inside case. Note Tran Lys price guide of 2000 shows this model at 1100, so our estimate is reasonable. Ht 17.5. Wm. L.
